The Law Offices of Matthew A. Rosenstein devotes a substantial amount of its legal practice to business bankruptcy, complex financial restructuring and business litigation.

We also represent debtors in consumer bankruptcy cases.

Matt Rosenstein is Board Certified* in Business Bankruptcy Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has practiced both Business and Consumer Bankruptcy Law for over 36 years. He is a qualified mediator in bankruptcy, commercial and family law matters.

Our present practice includes complex financial restructuring and bankruptcy reorganizations, as well as complex bankruptcy and commercial litigation, representing debtors and creditors and other parties.

While small in number, we keep pace with the latest innovations in delivering legal services by continually investing in training and technology. We utilize and maintain state of the art technology, enabling the firm to efficiently deliver cost-effective in-house legal services and engage in successful trial techniques. We also network, and where required, associate with legal counsel competent in other ares of the law to facilitate effective legal services for our Clients.

Our practice is "high tech" and we have developed techniques for trying and winning cases using audio/visual techniques utilizing software designed for trial.

Mr. Rosenstein is admitted to all Federal & State Texas Courts, U.S. Courts of Appeal for the 5th & 10th Circuits and the United States Supreme Court.

Matt Rosenstein was named a "Texas Super Lawyer" in the October 2004, 2005 & 2006 issues of Texas Monthly and Texas Super Lawyers. This distinction is limited to the top 5% of Texas Lawyers.

During 1992-94, Mr. Rosenstein was Bankruptcy Council for the Resolution Trust Corporation Headquarters, Washington, D.C. where he was responsible for negotiating a $104 million settlement paid to the RTC by Dallas real estate developer, Craig Hall. The settlement was one of the largest in RTC history.

Mr. Rosenstein recently finished representing secured creditors in the Asarco, LLC, Chapter 11 case pending in Corpus Christi, Texas, including the Salt River Project (the electrical utility serving Asarco in Arizona) where he was successful in negotiating "adequate protection" for future services and payment in full for pre-petition secured debt. He also represented Gila & Pinal Counties in the collection of substantial pre-petition ad valorem taxes and was successful in obtaining payment of pre-petition ad valorem taxes for Gila County during the pendency of the case.

We have substantial recent experience in representing oil & gas exploration companies as debtors in Chapter 11, including the following: (1) Confirming a Chapter 11 Plan for Reliant Exploration, Ltd., a John R. "Jack" Stanley affiliate; and (2) a company in with in excess of $100 million in valued reserves involved in oil & gas exploration and production in Texas, Wyoming & New Mexico. We also represented ERLY Industries, Inc., a public company (parent of American Rice, Inc.) to obtain confirmation of a Chapter 11 plan of reorganization and successfully obtained confirmation of a Chapter 11 Plan for an individual accused by the Texas Attorney General's Office and the Texas State Securities Board of the sale of unregistered securities.
